The international breakfast, location, the room with balcony,
The staff were very friendley & heplfull. The location was good just a short walk to all bus services & city centre. The accomodation was clean & warm but a little out of date. The full Irish breakfast was very nice. Perfect stay for a weekend break.
We really appreciated the lovely staff, the delicious breakfast and most of all the location: noiseless and really really close to O' Connell Street. The price and the cleaning are reasonable. The building is quite old, but nice.
The staff was helpful and the location was not bad..very good breakfast.
The rooms were dated and in need of face lift. very small tv in room..
I returned back to the hotel at 3am. It took about 5 mins for the guy to answer the door and he then told me sleepily that I was the last one back. I felt like I was a child who had missed my curfew. I wouldnt recommend the hotel, solely on this comment, as I wouldnt want my friends to feel the same way I did.
Bed - mattress, pillows, blankets, curtains -decor. The first night I had a stiff neck and I also had to request more blankets as there was only one available in the room. There was also no decaffeinated coffee available. I could not even request a boiled egg as they did not have the facilities to boil them. I would also not call the breakfast an Irish breakfast it's not any different to a normal english breakfast.
The Breakfast and service at breakfast was great. It exceded expectations
The hotel was secure - 24 hour reception always had to buzz at the main door to get into the hotel. Good breakfast - had full Irish. Good cooked food. Offered more toast. Staff were always friendly and courteous.
Not complaint just to point to note no remote control for television in room.
The room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was clean. A maid service cleaned, made the beds and changed over the towels each day of my visit. It was quiet at night, and there was 24hr staffing. The cooked breakfast was large and tasty, and you could help yourself to an unlimited amount of toast.
The room was a little cold and the heater didn't work. The shower wasn't the best.
The hotel was in a great location for the city and transport links. We stayed in the new part of the hotel at the rear of the building which was modern addition to the hotel. The room was on the small side but was clean and had a balcony. We paid a lot more for Sat & Sun but there were two big sporting events on in the city and most of the hotels and guest houses were full.
It was local to all aminaties, city centre, bus station.river good night life.rooms were cleaned daily, ensuite cleaned & towels changed daily, good breakfast each morning.
The staff were so helpful and friendly and paid prompt attention to everything we asked for.The reception was staffed night and day so there was always someone there to help. It was a 5 minute walk from o Connell Street and the airport bus stop was right outside the hotel making the transfer smooth. Lots of useful and relevant information available in reception to help us make the best of our 3 day trip.
I was dissappointed with the shoddiness of the hotel. This was a birthday gift to my partner and the internet pictures made it look much more than it was. The room was small and cramped. It was in the rear annexe above the laundry room and although it had a balcony we couldnt sleeep with the window open because of the constant noise coming from the machines below-which contributed to the heat of the room. The walls were all scuffed and the carpets though well hoovered were threadbare in places. The view from the balcony overlooked a yard stacked with rubbish and laundry bags and the corrugated roof below was full of cigarette butts. The breakfast was beautifully cooked and presented but on both days was only an egg 2 small sausages, a rasher of bacon and some beans which doesnt really add up to a full Irish breakfast. Sorry to moan but I was disappointed that I had chosen this as a birthday gift
Free parking across the road as it was a Saturday night. Also the breakfast was reasonably good and they had no problems with us eating even though it was 9:55am and breakfast finished at 10am.
The access to the room was quite difficult although thank goodness there was a lift. Room was very small, it only just fit the bed and could barely open luggage. Bathroom was very cold compared to the room and there was a big hole where tiles had caved in.
no complaints whatsoever room was very clean good irish breakfast all staff were excellent, and very helpful let us check in early, and late check out would stay there again
there was nothing to dislike about the Glen Guest House
Its location is good and also the breakfast was pretty good.also the waitress at breakfast was very polite.
the reception staff wer sharp and not very friendly.and it is a bit expensive, the room had paint peeling and could do with a re-vamp.
